Maddy is a traveller, a model and breath of fresh air.
Tell us a little bit about your youth:
My youth consisted with a lot of moving around, growing up in the Northern Beaches Sydney then moving to Adelaide at the age of 13 (travelled back and forth to visit dad/mum). Jourdan lived three houses down, we started dating at the age of 14 and he had family in Melbourne, Perth and Darwin so we hopped around Australia at an early age. I guess this is where my need for travelling started.
What’s a typical Sunday for you?
Waking up late, rolling out of bed and hitting the beach with my pup and boy.
What does #shelivesfree mean to you?
Fulfilling your life with whatever you desire and always staying true to yourself, then you are truly free.
Describe your personal style:
My style I feel is ever-changing yet consistent if that makes sense, I have a basic set up that I can always fall back on. I find my favourite items come from low key op shops, I love a good find!
Pick an element
Fire is my astrological element being a Sagittarius. Energetic, high spirited and adventurous!
What era do you wish you lived in?
"Ahh the good old days" I'm fairly content with the era I live in, I feel the people of all the past probably looked back to what they thought was a better time and wished they lived within it. My thoughts are that the past is often romanticised whether it is through stories told or in today's instance film and imagery. Although it saddens me I'm living in an era that will likely see the end of many of the majestic animals of the world, despite our ability to cure diseases and build rockets we can't even save our worlds endangered animals from extinction. Priorities are whacked!
Last book you read?
I'm currently in the middle of Anne Frank, Diary of a Young Girl which is very interesting.
Favourite song?
The Eagles - Hotel California
Describe your version of utopia:
I guess my version of utopia would be a perfect world. No wars, abuse, hurt, neglect, hunger, cruelty just pure bliss.
Describe the best day you’ve ever had?
Off the top of my head it would probably have to be in Turkey. This one day I paraglided off a 6500ft high cliff down to the pristine crystal blue coast of Oludeniz (I'am terrified of heights so this was a big accomplishment!). Waiting at the bottom was Jourdan with an old hired scooter, which we took off on winding around the coast. Stopping and climbing down rocks we found some hidden beauty's I will never forget! We finished off the day sitting on a flower covered balcony overlooking a beautiful valley with vibrant blue water lapping onto the shores.
- Where is your favourite place in the world?
That is a really hard question because I love so many places for all different reasons! I'm happy anywhere warm (unless it's snowing) with friendly people and beautiful landscape.
