DOWN THE AISLE

There are few moments as special as when you share your love and commitment as a couple with all your friends and family. And from the flowers to the food, we know that rarely is any wedding decision taken lightly – so it really warms our hearts when we see our designs down the aisle!

We recently chatted to a beautiful bride who picked Auguste for her bridesmaids. Meet Ash and take a look at her gorgeous girls below.

First of all, how did you and your husband meet?
We actually met at work! We were really good friends for a long time before we got together.

Where was the magical day?
We had our wedding in a big paddock on my family’s property. It was so special getting to have it somewhere that had so much history and meaning for my family, and to get to share that with Ben and his family.

Favourite memory from the wedding?
It sounds so cliche, but the whole day was just one huge happy memory. Everything was just so much fun, from getting ready with the girls, to the ceremony and of course the reception – it was filled with laughter and love.

Tell us a bit about your bridesmaids.
My bridesmaids are my four closest friends. I have known them all for varying lengths of time, but they are the most special people in the world to me. I know them all from different times in my life, but they all get on so well, and I couldn’t have asked for a more amazing group of girls to share the planning and the day with!

How did you pick the dresses?
From the time we started planning our wedding, I had wanted to find Auguste dresses for the girls. The style and prints of the dresses seemed to fit really well with our theme. We absolutely loved the dresses that they ended up with; the print was so beautiful and summery and the girls all picked the style they felt most comfortable in. The dresses suited all of them so nicely; my maid of honour was 7 and a half months pregnant at the time of the wedding, and she looked so stunning in the wrap style dress.

What would you say to others planning a wedding?
Everyone says it, but honestly, the thing I wished I listened to more during our planning was “don’t sweat the small stuff”. The day goes by so quickly, and all those tiny thing you agonise over in the lead up go completely unnoticed on the day! The memories you have are all about how wonderful it was to share the day with the people you love the most.
