What’s your role at Auguste the Label?
Senior Graphic Designer
I get to visually communicate Auguste through our branding, website, signage, lookbooks, EDMs, social content, charity campaigns – the list goes on! Plus I also write a whole lotta handwritten notes… maybe one even on this page. ;)
How does Auguste connect with your personal style?
Ever since a young age I loved scouring through op-shops and garage sales for one-off vintage finds. What I love about Auguste is those vintage touches in both the shapes and prints, but they are created with the modern gal in mind. Throw on some cons and I’m ready to go!
What in your closet brings you the most joy?
Right now, a vintage (is 2004 vintage?!) Jesse McCartney Tour tee I got for $5 on a recent trip to Tokyo. It reminds me not to take myself or fashion too seriously :)
We’re at your favourite spot in Byron Bay. What makes it so special?
I love Broken Head! I have spent a lot of time here since moving to Byron Bay, from whale watching, surfing and even watching the sun set on 2017 with family and two of my closest friends. It’s such a beautiful part of the world.
One thing you love about working in Byron…
Byron has got the perfect mix of nature, culture and creativity. The slow paced lifestyle ain’t bad either!
What can’t you get enough of right now?
I’ve recently been doing a beginners pottery course at The Byron School of Clay. I’m loving spending a couple of hours each week on the wheel, switching off and creating something with my hands.
What’s your go-to office tune?
Anything from this playlist. MJ 4 EVAAAA <3
When it comes to getting dressed/fashion, what matters to you?
Comfort and transparency. I’m loving seeing this push from consumers for fashion companies to be more accountable and sustainably-minded in recent years.
What’s your favourite Auguste piece right now?
My ‘Sister’ UN Women NCA x Auguste Tee. I worked with our incredible Creative Director Ebony in designing the type lock up for these tees, and our marketing team on the rollout of the campaign and it’s collateral, which was a huge but rewarding task! Whenever I wear my tee, or see someone else in one, it makes me so happy!
